Bill McKibben on Climate Change
Bill McKibben is the author of twelve books about the environment and related issues. His first volume, The End of Nature, was also the first book for a general audience about global warming. Appearing in 1989, it has been translated into twenty-four languages. His most recent work, the national bestseller Deep Economy, appeared in spring of 2007. A scholar in residence at Middlebury College, McKibben led the organization of the largest protest rallies in American history about climate change earlier this year; he is co-founder of the current global organizing campaign 350.org. He is a regular contributor to magazines like The New Yorker, the Atlantic, Harpers, the New York Review of Books, and National Geographic.
